Inventory the current URLs before redesigning
Do not delete pages blindly. Record the pages that exist, identify which ones receive traffic or links and decide whether each URL should remain, be improved or redirect to a better destination.
Keep the useful content
A redesign does not require throwing away every sentence. Keep accurate information, customer questions, service detail and proof that still helps prospects.
Fix the customer path, not just the colors
Look at whether a mobile visitor can find the service, understand the company and contact it quickly. A beautiful redesign that keeps a confusing path is still a weak redesign.
Launch with redirect and indexing checks
When URLs change, use permanent redirects to the most relevant replacement. Confirm canonical tags, sitemap URLs, robots rules and Search Console indexing after launch.
